Hotel giant Hilton has announced its 50th property in the UAE with the signing of the DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Corniche Residences and the Conrad Marjan Island Resort.
Marjan Island is a cluster of four man-made islands to the west of Ras Al Khaimah, while the DoubleTree by Hilton will be located on Ras Al Khaimah’s corniche.
Both properties will help to meet the increased demand for travel to the emirate, along with need for quality, internationally branded residences, the company said in a statement.
“Ras Al Khaimah is a fast-growing and highly sought-after leisure destination and the number of international visitors arrival rose by 11.2 percent in the first nine months of 2018 and are expected to reach 1 million this year for the first time in the emirate’s history,” said Carlos Khneisser, vice president of development, Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, Hilton.
"Hilton has had a presence in Ras Al Khaimah for more than 15 years and we are delighted to be introducing the Conrad Hotels & Resorts brand to the Emirate and to be opening the DoubleTree by Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Conrniche Residences," he added.
Conrad Marjan Island Resort will offer 120 rooms including beach villas and water villas plus a fitness centre, salon, spa, an outdoor pool and a kids club. The hotel will also feature two signature restaurants, a pool bar and beach bar.
Haitham Mattar, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority said: “We are delighted to see Hilton further developing its presence in the emirate with these two internationally branded properties.
"Hilton has long been a pioneer of the hotel industry in Ras Al Khaimah and it's a great addition to Ras Al Khaimah to see Hilton bringing its luxury Conrad brand here to Marjan Island and the corniche will benefit hugely with the addition of the DoubleTree by Hilton residences."
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is welcoming direct flights from a growing number of countries – including Poland, Russia, Luxembourg and the Czech Republic.
